ND AVE OF THE ROSES PARADE
MARCHERS & VOLUNTEERS WANTED, APRIL 24, 2010!

MARCHERS for the PRS Mobile Rose Garden in the 82nd Avenue parade Saturday, April 24, 9:00 AM are needed. You must be there by 8:30 am in back of the Eastport Plaza stores at 4000 SE 82nd (between Powell and Holgate). The parade will travel north on 82nd to Yamhill Street; traveling to SE 78th for disbanding. I would like to have a few cars at the end of the parade to ferry us back to the Eastport Plaza and PCC will have a bus there also. Please wear red polo PRS shirts or sweatshirts (dress for the weather), black pants and good walking shoes.
VOLUNTEERS are needed to sit or stand and help block the streets leading onto 82nd Ave along the parade route. An easy job to view the whole parade, you must be there at 8:00 to check in and get your street assignment and you will wear a large ribbon denoting that you are a Parade Volunteer. You will be called before the event and provided with exactly what time and where to meet before the parade.

Columbia County Master Gardener's 15th Annual Spring Garden Fair
Location: Commons of St. Helens High School, 2375 Gable Rd in St. Helens
Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
They will have 45 varieties of standard and heirloom tomatoes selling for $1.25 each. Vendors will also be offering other items such as herbs, trellises, containers, garden art, perennials, vegetables, book, trees and shrubs. For more information call the Extension office at 503-397-3462.
