TOPIC:  A modern and creative arrangement workshop

TIME:  4:00 PM–6:00

Once again the Portland Rose Society is fortunate to have Char Mutschler, one of the top flower designers in theU.S., present her fifth arrangement workshop in the Oaks Park Dance Pavilion from 4-6pm prior to the April meeting! For the first time, she will be teaching the principles of Modern and Creative design types. Participants will need to bring their own containers, foliage, branches, roses and manmade materials for their designs to take home. It will be a real hands on learning experience. Participants will then be able to stay for the PRS meeting and have their arrangements viewed by other PRS members. The cost is $25.00 and treats will be provided. TOPIC:  "In The Garden" - Mike Darcy

If you have been an avid gardener and have lived in the Portland area for a few years I am sure that you are familiar with our April speaker. He currently has the longest running garden show the Pacific Northwest. His radio intro calls him “the most trusted gardener.” Mike has hosted many garden shows over the years on several different TV channels, but his “In the Garden” with Mike Darcy has been on KXL 750 for more than 25 years. He will give some insights on the use of pots in the landscape and various things you can do with them besides using them as planters.
